Clayco and LJC were the design-build team for this logistics center.
This project is a 462,000-square-foot, tilt-up spec building located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and represents a key addition to the region’s logistics infrastructure.
Delivered in 2024 through a seamless design-build partnership between Clayco and LJC, the facility exemplifies engineering prowess. Over 400 tilt-up panels utilize three distinct mix designs, varied thicknesses, and rich architectural reveals. The finished interior boasts 1.5 million square feet of slab-on-grade polished concrete.
Strategically positioned with direct access to I-215, I-15, I-80, and the Salt Lake City freight airport, the facility also taps into a vast labor pool. With reach to over 60 million customers within a 24-hour haul, it stands as a logistics powerhouse, engineered for speed, scale, and efficiency.
LJC’s engineering team delivered full structural design for the 462,000-square-foot tilt-up logistics facility, providing foundation engineering, steel framing design, and complete tilt-up wall panel engineering to support the building’s large clear spans and high bay distribution requirements. Scope included cast-in-place foundation systems coordinated with geotechnical recommendations; conventional structural steel framing integrated with mechanical and architectural systems; and detailed tilt-up wall panel design aligning panel geometry, structural loads, and architectural reveals. The team also provided construction administration services—reviewing RFIs and shop drawings—to support a seamless design-build delivery and ensure constructability and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
