SCAD Atlanta Campus

The SCAD Atlanta Campus aims to embrace the popular Midtown Atlanta thoroughfare with a multi-towered student housing, dining, theater, store, and parking garage development. LJC partnered with Mackey Mitchell Architects and SCAD Design Group to create, for the first time, a new campus.

This development fronts Spring Street with an urban landscape that blends seamlessly into the neighborhood standards. In the central courtyard, the excitement of an urban campus spills out into an ultra-flexible campus space. A sloped lawn serves as an ample event space and a seating lawn for outdoor movies broadcast on a large building-mounted screen. Café tables, integrated seat walls, and even hammock loungers provide diverse seating and gathering spaces for students to pass the time between classes or gather with friends. A rooftop amenity deck offers a luxury-like pool experience for residents that speaks to the broader SCAD development through material palette and design aesthetic.

Together the SCAD Forty, SCAD Forty Four, and SCAD Forty Five developments create a rich and unique campus experience and environment in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, offering diverse campus amenities in a vibrant urban context.
