This project is a privately owned and operated student housing apartment building adjacent to the University of Wisconsin Campus. Located on a prominent corner at the intersection of Park Street and Regent Street, it is part of a vital corridor in the Greenbush neighborhood and the main artery leading to Camp Randall Stadium, where the Badgers play home games. The site is a narrow wedge-shaped parcel of land. Our design team produced an elegant building on this challenging tapered site shape.
This ten-story building will have roughly 520 beds with units ranging from studios to 5 bedrooms and a private amenity rooftop deck. The ground level is dedicated to amenity and retail space, primarily focusing on activating the streetscape. The design steps the facade away from the street at levels 5 and 9 to meet neighborhood planning guidelines and to respond to the scale of surrounding buildings.
Residents will have a short 10-15 minute walk from the building’s entrance, all the way through campus to the Student Union on Lake Monona. Also included are indoor secure bicycle parking for 270 bicycles and spaces for EV charging in the underground parking garage. Lastly, the team plans to work with a local artist to create a mural at the ground level.
