The Standard, a new off-campus housing project located a short walk from the University of South Carolina and the heart of downtown, offers an unmatched living experience for nearby USC students.
The project features fully furnished units with an array of amenities that ensure student comfort. These amenities include a podium-level rooftop pool, grilling stations, jumbotron, fitness center, golf simulator, game-day lounge, and both group and private study spaces. Residents can choose from a mix of unit sizes ranging from studios to five-bedroom apartments.
As the newest high-rise addition to the city skyline, the 17-story building enhances the architectural landscape. Notably, the building boasts an aesthetically pleasing mural plaza showcasing a colorful and vibrant artistic piece by Sharon Dowell. The murals painted on the north and south sides of the building incorporate vibrant colors and architectural elements that honor the Black-owned businesses that lined the same streets during the rich cultural history of the area from the 1920s through mid-century
Collaborating with CRG and Clayco, The Standard at Columbia benefits from the Enterprise’s integrated design-build capabilities, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail. Now that the project is complete, it provides residents with a comfortable, connected, and visually stimulating living environment.
