When Kohl’s supply chain strategy led to a northern, midwest e-commerce requirement, they called on LJC and Clayco to provide design-build services and lead this new effort. The project consisted of the conversion of an existing 900,000 SF shell facility into a highly automated fulfillment center. The material handling equipment and supply chain group integration included substantial electric and low voltage infrastructure, climate-controlled HVAC systems, and extensive office and branding build-out. Despite the extremely aggressive schedule, which included several early and interim milestones, LJC and Clayco delivered this new facility on time and under Guaranteed Maximum Price.
