Dollar General Distribution Center – Oregon

This new industrial facility supports the expansion of Dollar General’s supply chain in the northwest region of the U.S. LJC’s role involved overall building design and coordination. The project features a dry warehouse with attached cooler/freezer spaces, a dispatch office, and a detached fleet maintenance facility. Additionally, the design includes two-story dock offices for both shipping and receiving in both the dry and cooler sections of the building.

LJC’s design team has been instrumental in addressing challenges such as managing change requests and staying on schedule despite ongoing updates to the project. To meet the client’s needs, we’ve held coordination meetings and adapted to changes between Dollar General’s various projects nationwide. We’ve successfully kept the project on track by leveraging a detailed design decision log, and our VDC team has been crucial in minimizing clashes and ensuring smooth collaboration.

This project’s success is driven by effective communication and flexibility, with our team working closely with Dollar General to align design elements with their evolving goals.
