A PET blow-molding plant for Amcor, one of the world’s largest packaging companies offering the highest standards in innovative packaging solutions.
This global leader in responsible packaging solutions chose Lamar Johnson Collaborative to design their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which is Amcor’s center of operations for the supply of plastic bottles to PepsiCo for Gatorade packaging. The building provides 141,000 SF of plastic injection and blow molding processing area. The balance of the plant provides storage space for finished goods and a 41,000 SF machine house. An office area of 13,700 SF provides plant management and business activity space.
The Wytheville facility provided the owner a virtual on-site supply to their main customer, PepsiCo. The new building was connected to the Pepsi bottling plant with an enclosed link. This solution saved the owner significant transportation costs.
