LJC and Clayco provided design-build services for this high-tech fabrication facility.
The facility fabricates machine base frames for Caterpillar’s Hydraulic Excavators. This single-story manufacturing facility houses two massive robotic machines supported by 5-foot thick concrete foundations. Robotic welders throughout the space complete the fabrication process. 35 7.5-ton bridge cranes transport material. A central chilled water system provides plant cooling. A 13.8 kV substation provides building and process electrical.
