University of Missouri-St. Louis Project | Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC)

During the campus Master Plan effort a few years earlier, the team identified renovating and repurposing a former JC Penny Building. Fast forward, and the LJC team is implementing this renovation, addition and repurposing of the existing building. As the team reviewed campus needs, it was evident that there needed to be a place for active recruitment and Alumni activities. This concept was born from studying current campus conditions and existing space needs and responding to opportunities available on the campus.

The project is currently under construction, and its completion is targeting 2024. This new center will be a place for students and families to congregate and launch campus tours for prospective students, and it will also house the Office of Admissions, the Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Engagement. Bringing these departments together provides a shared space for alumni to network while interacting with eager students ready to join their ranks.
