Spencer Fane, a law practice with 22 offices nationwide, wanted to update its office space after 20 years of being in their current space in Clayton, Missouri. LJC led the renovation efforts to create a modern office space to fit the needs of a hybrid work model.
The design team enhanced the company’s workspace with universal office sizes with glass fronts to increase daylighting, added adjustable height desks for better ergonomics, updated the AV experience for all meeting rooms without community impact, and infused collaborative space and games to promote return-to-work initiatives.
The initial project schedule was delayed two months due to rising costs and estimated lead times. However, to help reduce the budget, the design team strategically reused existing furniture and artwork and helped to source temporary furniture.
