Senior Lifestyle engaged LJC to design its new flagship senior living development in Chicago’s western suburbs. The Sheridan at Oak Brook is a new 200-unit facility with studios and one-and two-bedroom units, accommodating seniors across the continuum of care with independent living, assisted living, and memory care support.
The Sheridan’s amenities include a physical therapy and fitness center, a library, a theater, craft studios, and an in-house salon and spa. These architectural programs are anchored by a centralized social hub on the facility’s first floor. It also features casual and formal dining environments catering to residents’ varied preferences.
The five-story building is within an office/retail campus and provides residents with additional destinations within walking distance. A contemporary masonry façade with private and shared terraces wraps the entire campus.
