Much Shelist (Much), a full-service law firm that attracts top attorneys from the nation’s largest law firms and schools, retained LJC to design a new office that will foster the ease of collaboration amongst all staff; while consolidating their three-floor occupancy to a two floor stacked practice. The new facility features a modern, timeless design that embraces Much’s legal/business brand and firm culture.
LJC planned and implemented a final square foot per Attorney planning and design solution that substantially reduced the RSF/Attorney ratio to 423 RSF/Attorney, thus decreasing their occupancy square footage and associated rent value. To reinforce and promote the collaborative practice, LJC increased the number of communal spaces, including workrooms, conference areas, and synergistic collaborative zones. Much’s Teams and employees were organized into better adjacencies to improve workplace efficiencies.
The design features light wood tones, accents of blue hues, and modern glass partitions in both the office and conference fronts to maximize exposure to natural light. LJC’s design is flexible and allows for future growth if needed.
