A facility designed to be the patient preferred destination for cardiovascular care in Springfield, MO.
Designed to be a hallmark on the Mercy Health Springfield campus, the project consolidated fragmented Cardiac Services distributed across multiple locations. To achieve this 120,000 SF renovation, the first and second floors of the existing Mercy Hospital Springfield were transformed into the new Heart Hospital. In doing so, the Heart Hospital enhanced the Mercy patient experience, provided ease of patient access while consolidating all heart therapies and access to providers in a single point of service.
The new Heart Hospital facility houses Cardiac Operating Rooms, Hybrid OR, Invasive Cath Labs, EP Labs, Prep/Recovery, Pre-Op, PACU, Observation, Cardiology Clinic, Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic, Non-Invasive Clinic, ECHO/Stress, Nuclear Medicine, and administrative spaces. It also serves as the primary venue for adult inpatient and outpatient cardiac treatment for the Mercy Springfield Hospital campus and the southwestern Missouri area.
