Garnet Health Parking Garage | Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC)

Garnet Health commissioned LJC to master plan their Middletown Medical Center campus, anticipating future growth and community needs. This 3-level, open staff parking garage includes electric vehicle charging stations for physicians and staff. A ground level bay of the garage includes an enclosed ambulance drop-off area that will be connected to a future emergency department expansion. For staff convenience an enclosed pedestrian walkway bridges over a service yard and links to the existing hospital. A portion of the ground floor of the garage adjacent to the ambulance bay has been designed to be converted from parking to a mass casualty incident (MCI) space or pandemic triage area in the event of sudden patient surges beyond the capacity of the existing hospital.
