An integrated approach delivers a complex project in eight months.

Express Scripts’ Technology and Innovation Center houses office space and a complex pharmaceutical production plant. The facility also serves as a tour center for drug packaging operations, exhibiting the company’s safe and efficient practices to current and potential clients. Designed in partnership with interactive technology leader Clickspring Design, the media-rich environments incorporate research, experimentation, learning, and workplace functions. An adjacent high-volume production space is capable of filling 110,000 individual prescriptions per day, at a rate of 500,000 pills per hour.

The project faced a demanding schedule heightened by the need to size the facility to support custom equipment designed for an alternate site. The integrated approach taken by Lamar Johnson Collaborative and Clayco delivered the project to Express Scripts in just eight months.
