200 South 4th Street

LJC is leading the design for the redevelopment of 200 South 4th Street in downtown St. Louis, in partnership with the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, The Cordish Companies, and Clayco. This transformative project will create a vibrant mixed-use destination connecting the Gateway Arch, Ballpark Village, and the heart of downtown, redefining how residents and visitors experience the city. This landmark project will reenergize a key part of the city’s urban core, converting underutilized space into a dynamic, mixed-use destination that reflects the evolving spirit of St. Louis.

Designed with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and community connection, the development envisions a vibrant district that seamlessly blends residential, commercial, and public realms. The architecture is rooted in design excellence and guided by a commitment to creating environments that engage people and enhance the surrounding urban fabric. Open plazas, landscaped terraces, and pedestrian pathways will encourage gathering and movement throughout the site, fostering a sense of belonging and vitality.

Sustainability plays a central role in the project’s vision, incorporating green roofs, energy-efficient systems, and environmentally responsible materials that support long-term performance and stewardship. Every design decision, from building orientation to material selection, will be considered to create a resilient and adaptable environment that meets the demands of modern urban living.

Working closely with The Cordish Companies and Clayco Construction, LJC is helping to shape a new destination that strengthens the economic and cultural heartbeat of downtown St. Louis. The redevelopment of 200 South 4th Street is more than a new address—it’s a symbol of progress and collaboration, a catalyst for growth, and a reflection of LJC’s ongoing dedication to designing spaces that elevate both people and place.
