Trojan Park Large Header Image5

As our designs aspire to build healthy communities, our team builds healthy communities through active engagement in civic and community initiatives. You will find our leaders on the boards of the cultural and charitable organizations that are driving change in our cities and neighborhoods. Additionally, our professionals contribute time and energy toward industry participation in Commercial Real Estate Executive Women (CREW), Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Minority Architects (NOMA), and the ACE Mentorship program to name a few.

Pedal the Cause

A team from LJC has ridden in the Pedal the Cause bike challenge since the fundraiser began. Pedal the Cause provides critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through its annual cycling challenge.

Women Build

Together Lamar Johnson Collaborative and Clayco formed a team of volunteers to both fundraise and build in the annual Women Build Chicago Event, a program of Habitat for Humanity, providing permanent, affordable homes for women-led families.

Big Ed Bowl

Lamar Johnson Collaborative is the lead sponsor of the Big Ed Bowl, an annual industry event that has raised more than $2 million in support of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

The Aspire Center

LJC has been working with Austin Coming Together (ACT) to develop a plan for repurposing the vacant Emmet Elementary School in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood into Austin’s Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation Center.
