Morgan Park Commons

Mixed-Use Development Master Plan

Morgan Park Commons is a mixed-use development on Chicago’s Far South Side. The northwest corner of 115th and Halsted streets sits at the intersection of West Pullman, East Morgan Park, and West Roseland. This prime real estate has been vacant for more than a decade since Jewel moved four blocks south and the Halsted Mall was torn down.

The development is bordered on the west side by the historic regional bike trail, Major Taylor Trail, and has relationships with surrounding commercial businesses on Halsted. Additionally, there will be transit connectivity to downtown via a new bus rapid transit station that will be built in the community center.

Finally, the brand and identity of the development are grounded in featuring artists from the Southside of Chicago by including them in the interior and exterior of the design and ensuring that community members are represented.
