SCAD Atlanta Campus
Atlanta, GA
A proposed multi-use training facility was developed on an approximately 40-acre site.
The office and training facility includes a two-story, multi-use office facility and an attached indoor field house with support facilities, including field maintenance. Sitework includes three (3) outdoor practice fields.
The main building exterior is constructed with limestone veneer anchored to metal stud or concrete tilt-up panel back-up, Low-e insulated glass, exterior structural steel columns wrapped in wood, wood siding, screen walls, soffit, and a standing seam metal roof. The building has a steel beam and purlin composite floor construction system on the 2nd floor. The roof construction combines steel beams and steel joists wrapped in wood.
The indoor field house facility will be an attached building constructed with a pre-engineered and pre-fabricated steel frame system and clad with low-e insulated glass, wood, and metal siding. This building will contain a standing seam metal roof, include an HVAC system to provide a temperate space, and include an indoor “Field Turf” football playing surface.
