12 W Maple

A new modern residential tower in  Chicago’s Gold Coast.

With its small footprint and slender profile, the building’s design compliments the surrounding structures by drawing inspiration from the community, specifically Mariano Park and the nearby Lake Michigan shores.

The building’s façade and classical proportions reference the surrounding neighborhood in a restrained, modern way. Landscaped amenity terraces are introduced at heights complimenting neighboring buildings, which break down the tower’s mass and offer beautiful views east. The façade is gently textured, with articulated window frames and large terraces. Trees and native grasses grace the Amenity and residential terraces, tracing their way up the building.

Pedestrians and residents experience the high-quality design through natural limestone and metal paneling which meets the ground along the W. Maple St facade. Residents enter through a double-high bay on the west side of the façade, while cars enter a motor court on the east side. Utilizing a one-way path, in from Maple Street and out through the north alley, allow all parking, deliveries, pickups, and valet staging to occur within the bounds of the site and not on the street.
