Eli Lechter | Principal
Eli Lechter is an award-winning Landscape Architect and Principal at LJC in Chicago, IL, with over 15 years of experience in landscape architecture and urban design. Eli holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Known for his strategic leadership and community-centered design approach, Eli leads complex master planning and site development projects that prioritize sustainability, ecological function, placemaking, and cultural identity. He is currently leading the master planning for the Quantum Shore Chicago Master Plan, transforming the former South Works steel site into the Illinois Quantum & Microelectronics Park, including the design of the PsiQuantum Chicago campus, a multi-billion-dollar investment in the region’s future as a global quantum technology hub. Other notable projects include: Cross Creek Ranch in Houston, TX, the framework plan for Brays Bayou in Houston, TX, King Abdullah Economic City Master Plan, Al Duqm Master Plan, Thousand Lantern Lake in Nanhai China, the McGovern Centennial Garden in Houston, TX, and a Vision Study for Housing in Downtown Pomona, CA. In Chicago, Eli has been involved in the redesign of Chicago Avenue in Austin, Pop! Heights in Morgan Park, Park 598 in Old Town, and many other open spaces aim to celebrate the community’s heritage through supportive open space.
