Transforming a uniquely shaped site into luxury living with exceptional downtown views and access to numerous amenities.
Triangle Square aims to create a neighborhood and a community where there was neither. The development – part of a larger planned development that also includes a 67-unit condominium building and a two-story retail building – occupies a formerly vacant site in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood, bounded by Webster Avenue on the north, Elston Avenue on the west, and the Union Pacific train tracks to the east. When it opens in the fall of 2021, the project will become a centerpiece of this new community with 21,000 SF of ground-floor retail and 298 apartments.
The uniquely shaped property demanded a unique design solution. The building’s massing, including a sloped south-facing roofline with private terraces, provides 75% of the residential units with downtown Chicago views. The building is situated comfortably in its industrial surroundings due to its limited height and materiality, embracing brick, fiber cement board, and standing seam metal roofing.
Triangle Square residents will have full use of several on-site amenities. Chief among them is a club room – a multipurpose space situated on the southeast corner of the site to frame views of the Chicago skyline and a fitness center, game room, and co-working space. The centerpiece of the community is a 23,000 SF outdoor terrace. The terrace includes a pool, bocce court, grills, firepits, and multiple places to sit and socialize.
