HOUSTON TEXANS TRAINING FACILITY CONCEPT DESIGN

The Houston Texans Office and Training Facility is a proposed multi-use facility developed on an approximate 40 acre site at the intersection of Murworth and South Main Street.

The office and training facility includes a two-story, multi-use office facility, and an attached indoor field house with support facilities including field maintenance. Sitework includes three (3) outdoor practice fields.

The main building exterior is constructed with limestone veneer anchored to metal stud or concrete tilt-up panel back-up, Low-e insulated glass, exterior structural steel columns wrapped in wood, wood siding, screen walls, soffit and a standing seam metal roof. The building has a steel beam and purlin composite floor construction system at the 2nd floor. The roof construction is combination of steel beam and steel joists wrapped in wood.

The indoor field house facility will be an attached building constructed with a pre-engineered and pre-fabricated steel frame system and clad with low-e insulated glass and wood and metal siding. This building will contain a standing seam metal roof, include a HVAC system to provide a temperate space and include an indoor “Field Turf” football playing surface.
