Flexible framework for downtown Lombard site.
The Village of Lombard initiated a planning process to attract new businesses to its awakening downtown. Lamar Johnson Collaborative worked hand-in-hand with a local boutique grocery store that wanted a presence in the city center. To be economically feasible, additional development would need to accompany the grocery store. LJC sought out a developer to undertake this unique opportunity for downtown Lombard, creating a plan to incorporate a 120-unit multi-family residential project with ground floor retail. This framework enables the grocer to have a downtown store while providing a central location for residential living.
